The head is in a neutral position, the shoulders, rib cage, abdomen are allowed to relax to allow you to breath freely and easily.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The eyes are half-closed, with your gaze falling in front of you at an angle of approximately 45\u00b0.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11065 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-2048x1367.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/tenborin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AKS_7501-900x600.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The wrists are resting in your lap, on your upper thighs.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The fingers of the left hand are placed on those of the right hand, palms facing upwards, thumbs meeting together, horizontally, above the palms, lightly touching to form an oval shape. The sides of the hands and the little fingers make contact with the lower <\/span><\/span><span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">abdomen.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">During zazen, we remain vigilant, allowing an open attention to each detail as well as on our breathing.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">The mind\u00a0 is thus brought back into the body and unity is realised.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Thoughts stop flowing together.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">They appear, since that is their nature, but if attention is maintained on the posture, they disappear without a trace.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Naturally and unconsciously the personal will of the ego ceases to act and seek a goal.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Only the present moment remains.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It is impossible to see your own posture and it is easy to delude yourself about your own practice.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz JxVs2d ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">It is recommended not to practice alone and to receive advice from an experienced practitioner in a dojo (\u201cthe place of the Way\u201d).<\/span><\/span><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=&#8221;in_container&#8221;
