The Lanau Zen Centre is the outcome of the project of the Tenbôrin association founded by Guy Mokuhō Mercier and some disciples and friends. Situated in the Cantal region of central France, it is near the villages of Lanau-Neuvéglise (near Saint-Flour) next to the river Truyère.
It is a communal and intergenerational place of life where all residents and visitors follow a rhythm of daily life which includes meditation (zazen) and interrelationships consistent with the teachings of Buddhism.
We welcome those seeking a retreat, as well as external user groups. The Centre is also developing social projects which includes housing for retired or elderly members of the association.
Exchange between the generations is a vital necessity and a deep source of enrichment for everyone.
